LCWU issues online classes, exams schedule.

LAHORE -- The Lahore College for Women University (LCWU) on Thursday issued the schedule for online classes and examinations.

The university will conduct fourth, sixth and eighth semesters online viva for thesis, seminars and internships from June 1 to Aug 31, while viva of BFA second semester, third and fourth professional, MPhil and PhD will also be held on the same dates.

The teaching process will be completed from June 1 to July 15. The final examinations of these semesters will be held from July 20. The university has also decided to start online teaching from June 1.

The teaching process for the second semester of BS, MA, MS, and PhD will be completed from June 1 to July 15. The final exams of the second semester of the above-mentioned subjects will commence on Aug 17.

LCWU Vice Chancellor Dr Bushra Mirza said the examinations would be conducted as per the guidelines issued by the Higher Education Commission, and the students who could not appear in midterm or online exams for any reason would be given another chance after the university reopens.

EXAMS CANCELLED: Punjab Board of Technical Education (PBTE) on Thursday decided to cancel all its examinations in the wake of coronavirus pandemic and approved promotion policy regarding criteria to the next class.

Punjab Minister for Industries, Commerce and Investment Mian Aslam Iqbal presided over a meeting held at the Punjab Investment Board office. Technical and Vocational Training Authority (Tevta) Chairperson Ali Salman Siddique, PBTE Chairperson Nazir Niazi, PBTE Secretary and Tevta Chief Operating Officer Akhtar Abbas Bharwana were also present.

Mr Iqbal said the decision to cancel all exams under the PBTE was taken due to the pandemic situation.

He said the eligible students would be promoted to the next class as per policy and they would be given 40 per cent concession in the examination fee.

He said as many as 130,165 students would get benefit from this decision and the students of these classes who were failed...
