Kukikhel youth reject damage assessment survey in Tirah.

KHYBER -- The Zwan Kukikhel Ittehad (ZKI), a youth organisation of Jamrud, has rejected the on-going damage assessment survey in Kukikhelinhabited areas of Tirah valley for alleged registration of non deserving and influential families in the survey report.

Addressing a press conference at Jamrud Press Club on Monday, ZKI president Mohammad Ishfaq along with Hussain Ahmad and Malak Mujeeb said that most of the recently returned Kukikhel families were not satisfied with the survey as it was not done in a transparent way.

They alleged that a number of families who were not the actual residents of the areas where the displaced families had recently returned, were registered among the militancy-affected families simply on the basis of greasing the palms of the survey officials.

They also accused the survey officials of demanding bribes from affected families at the time of survey form distribution which they said was illegal and unjust. They demanded immediate replacement of these 'corrupt' officials so that the process of survey could be conducted in a transparent manner.
