'KP to become digital hub soon'.

PESHAWAR -- Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is soon going to be the digital heart of the country and everyone will see a revolution of innovation, says Special Assistant to Chief Minister on Information Technology Kamran Khan Bangash.

Addressing the inaugural graduation ceremony hosted by National Incubation Centre (NIC) here on Thursday, he said that NIC Peshawar was playing a significant role in transforming startup ecosystem of the region.

According to a statement, the graduating startups at NIC created more than 470 direct and 1,900 indirect jobs, raised over Rs192 million in investment and increased their revenue to more than Rs120 million.

Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecom Dr Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui, who was guest of honour at the ceremony, said that graduating startups of NIC Peshawar lived up to the standard of KP traditions that were known for their liveliness.

'I am sure that KP youth will set new standards for their peers from across the country. It is really heartening to see the full-blown ideas ranging from fashion to health, AR/VR and education generating healthy revenues,' he said.
