KP Government Cracks Down on Overcharging Transporters Despite Fuel Price Reduction.

PESHAWAR -- The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government initiated a crackdown on Monday against transporters engaged in overcharging passengers, despite a substantial decrease in fuel prices. Zafarullah Khan Umarzai, Special Assistant to the Caretaker Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for Transport and Housing, issued clear directives to transport officials to ensure that the benefits of reduced petroleum prices are passed on to the general population.

Transport officials have been instructed to conduct daily visits to passenger transport stands and take strict action against drivers who overcharge passengers.
