Kohat DRC resolved 588 disputes last year.

KOHAT -- The district complaint cell established at the office of DPO Mansoor Aman is receiving about 100 applications of different nature daily most of which are winded up with provision of relief and assistance to the complainants.

Those pertaining to police are marked to the police access services and assistance lines and those related to other departments were sent to them for action.

A statement issued here said that in year 2019 the dispute resolution council (DRC) received 757 cases related to property, business, family and other disputes of which 588 were settled with mutual consent of the parties concerned. Five cases were sent to courts and the rest were under trial by the jury.

A computerised record of 3,678 houses was also compiled which had not been registered with relevant police stations. Likewise, 1,176 applications received during 2019 were settled, it added.
