Kinnaird College calls off talk featuring Khalil Ur Rehman after backlash from students.

Kinnaird College for Women reportedly called off an interactive session they had organised yesterday featuring writer/director Khalil Ur Rehman Qamar.

News started doing the rounds on social media that the talk had been cancelled, allegedly after students pointed out to management that an all-girls university should not be hosting an individual who openly insults women.

The event, which was scheduled from 11 am to noon, was arranged by the institute's Centre for Learning and Cultural Development and also included director Agha Jarrar.

A faculty member who did not wish to be named confirmed the same to Images, sharing that it was scrapped after backlash from students.
