Kidnapped boy recovered.

TAXILA -- Police on Friday safely recovered an eight-year-old boy, who was kidnapped 10 days ago from outside his residence in the jurisdiction of Taxila police station.

The kidnapper had demanded a ransom of Rs10 million from the boy's family for his release.

Senior Superintendent of Police Syed Ali told reporters that Ilyas Khan was kidnapped on Jan 10 and shifted to an unknown location.

On the complaint of the boy's father, Rafiullah, the police registered a case and started investigation, he said, adding that the kidnapper used various SIMS to contact the boy's family, demanding ransom money.

He said a police team assisted by other law enforcement agencies raided a house located in Nawababad, in the jurisdiction of Wah Saddar police station and safely recovered the boy. The kidnapper was also arrested.
