Khursheed Shah's hopes for bail dashed.

SUKKUR -- Sukkur accountability court on Friday admitted the reference filed by the National Accountability Bureau accusing 18 suspects, among them senior leader of the Pakistan Peoples Party Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah, of accumulating assets beyond means, further dimming chances for the PPP leader to get freedom from NAB custody on bail.

The court's judge Ameer Ali Mahesar would begin hearing the reference on Dec 24 after the Sukkur bench of the Sindh High Court heard a NAB petition on Dec 23 challenging the grant of bail to Shah.

The reference cites 18 accused including Khursheed Shah, his two wives, two sons, his nephew provincial minister Syed Awais Qadir Shah and others, accusing them of amassing assets worth...
