Khan's visit to China.

Prime Minister Imran Khan is arriving in Beijing today for a four-day visit state visit to China at the invitation of President Xi Jinping. This visit is in the backdrop to represent Pakistan at the Beijing Winter Olympics 2022, scheduled to be held on 4th February 2022. Many heads of state and representatives of international organizations are participating in the grand ceremony. The Prime Minister is accompanied by a high-level delegation, including cabinet members and senior government officials. There will be twenty-one sectors that have been highlighted to be discussed. This visit reflects a strong sense of solidarity from Pakistan for China, especially as few countries have politicized games. Beijing has been applauded by WHO and other global indicators for setting new standards in organizing such high level of games based on using green technology and pandemic precautionary measures. During the visit, Chinese President Xi Jinping will receive Prime Minister Imran Khan, and there will be high-level talks with Premier Li Keqiang. Discussions will be held on building more substantial and lasting economic, trade, political and strategic partnerships in diverse sectors, especially China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC). China has remained as central as the jewel in the crown of Pakistan's foreign policy and diplomatic ties with any country globally. These outstanding relations are indeed sweeter than honey and higher than the Himalayas and based on strong sense of Iron brotherhood that is crafted on the hearts of the people from both sides.

Primarily, Pakistan is anticipating attracting investment in several sectors, including information technology, furniture, agriculture, automobile, footwear, textiles, and pharmaceuticals. Pakistani business community eyes on freight train services currently operating between China, Central Asia, Europe, Middle East, and Europe as an effort of global connectivity. Before the visit to China, Prime Minister was briefed on the visit and planned discussions for investment, trade, information, technology, and exports expected to build between the two brotherly countries. The apex leadership will discuss the entire gamut of bilateral relationships with the main focus on CPEC.
