6.2 Kgs of Gold Impounded At the Border

Guards from the Mongolian Border Force’s 0108 Military Unit at Zamyn-Uud soum discovered 6.2 kilograms of gold illegally crossing the border on a cargo train (State number 3510) on the route from Zamyn-Uud to Erenhot, China. O.Bayasgalan, senior soldier of the unit’s Inspection Division, found the gold and was granted an “Outstanding Border Guard” medal at the 80th anniversary of the founding of the Border Forces. Border Intelligence Service officials are conducting an investigation to discover the source of the gold.
