KE criticised for 'making citizens' life miserable'.

KARACHI -- The electricity loadshedding carried out by K-Electric during Eidul Fitr days and on and off outages during these hot weather conditions have made lives of consumers miserable, said the Jamaat-i-Islami Karachi chief in a statement issued here on Thursday.

The JI leader, Hafiz Naeemur Rahman, criticised the 'short supply' of power from the National Transmission and Despatch Company and condemned the long loadshedding hours in the city.

He said the KE had so far failed to bring about any improvement in its furnace oil power generation plant and power distribution network despite 'tall claims'.

Severe power supply breakdowns at the Karachi Water and Sewerage Board water pumping stations, especially at bulk water supply facility at Dhabeji, had put consumers in great mental agony, he said.
