'Karwan-e-Aman' constituted to promote love, brotherhood, reaches Kahuta.

RAWALPINDI -- 'Karwan-e-Aman' constituted to promote love and brotherhood particularly during Muharram-ul-Harram, comprising of Rawalpindi district police officers and religious scholars reached Kahuta on Wednesday.

The 'Karwan', comprising Qazi Abdul Rasheed, Allama Shaukat Jafari, Allama Qasim Ayub, Allama Izhar Bukhari, Zahid Kazmi, Syed Chiraguddin Shah, Saifullah Saifi, Maulana Iqbal Rizvi, Zahoor Elahi Qadri, Allama Kausar Abbas Qami and other eminent scholars belonging to all schools of thought, was visiting different tehsils of Rawalpindi district to promote love, brotherhood, tolerance, unanimity and harmony.

The 'Karwan-e-Aman' constituted in accordance with the vision of City Police Officer (CPO) Rawalpindi Syed Shahzad Nadeem Bukhari was making efforts to maintain peace and harmony in the district during Muharram-ul-Haram.

Allama Abdul Sakoor, Haifz Usman Usmani, Asif Rabbani Qureshi, Allama Zahoor, DSP Kahuta, Assistant Commissioner Kahuta and other police officers welcomed the 'Karwan-e-Aman' in Kahuta.

Later, a meeting was held to review all the security arrangements and ensure the atmosphere of peace and love during Muharram. A peace walk was also organized which started from National Bank Kahuta and culminated at Kalar Chowk.

The police spokesman informed that Rawalpindi district police were making all possible necessary arrangements to provide foolproof security cover to the mourning processions and to prevent any untoward incident during Muharram ul Haram.
