Karachi transformation Rs1,100b package is in limbo: JI.

Karachi -- Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) has expressed concern on delay in implementation of Karachi transformation Rs 1,100 billion package announced by federal government four months back. Karachi ameer, Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman in a statement said it was uncertain situation that federal government could not show any progress in this direction. The package is meant for restructuring of dilapidated infrastructure of Karachi but there is no any spade work on project seen that translates seriousness of government on city issues and its development, he added. He said Pak Army during meetings held on Karachi issues also took part; so masses have rights to ask when issues of city would be resolved, he questioned.
