Karachi receives official Marathon status by World Athletics.
KARACHI -- In a significant development for athletic sports in the country, Karachi has been designated as an official Marathon with a 42.195 km track receiving certification by the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS).
According to the details, World Athletics in cooperation with AIMS issued an international measurement certificate of Grade A to Karachi Marathon after a third-party assessment by Australia's Kim Vivian.
