Karachi receives first rain of winter season.

KARACHI -- Weather turned pleasant and cold, as various parts of Karachi on Sunday received first rain of the winter season.

As per details, city's area of Gulshan-e-Hadeed, Steel Town, Pipri and adjoining areas received heavy rain which turned the atmosphere extremely pleasant and significant increase in the cold.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department latest spell of rain to last till Tuesday in the city.

Earlier, MET office, had predicted showers at the scattered places of city as overcast weather is being witnessed in Karachi since morning.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department had predicted rain at isolated places in Karachi, Sukkur, Bahawalpur, Sahiwal, Multan, D.I. Khan, Bannu and Makran divisions during the next 24 hours.

Cloudy weather is expected in northern parts of the country, with rain likely at scattered places in Quetta, Zhob, Malakand, Hazara, Mardan, Peshawar, Kohat, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala, Lahore, Faisalabad, Sargodha, D.G. Khan divisions, Islamabad, Gilgit-Baltistan and Kashmir.

KC-EU holds a seminar on HR day in Brussels

BRUSSELS: Kashmir Council Europe (KC-EU) organised a seminar in connection with intentional day of human right in Brussels, the European Headquarters.

Speakers of the seminar called for implementation of latest report of United Nation High Commissioner for Human Rights on issue of human rights violations in Indian Held Kashmir (IHK).

Senior Kashmir leader Sardar Siddique, Chairman Kashmir Info Mir Shahjahan, Senior leader Kashmir Council EU Ch Khalid Joshi, member Brussels Parliament Dr Zahoor Manzoor, Councillor of Brussels local body Amir Naeem Sunny, Kashmiri figure Raja Khalid and social person Saleem Meman spoke over the occasion.
