Karachi industrial zones to be dealt as a single unit: SBCA chief.

KARACHI -- Director General Sindh Building Control Authority (SBCA) Zafar Ahsan has said that for facilitation, all industrial zones in Karachi would be dealt as single zone.

Speaking at a meeting of Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI), he said that under the direction of CM Sindh Murad Ali Shah, SBCA is committed to provide facilitation to the industry.

'Industrialisation is the only solution to the economic woes faced by the country and we are trying to facilitate the sector on a priority basis,' he said. 'SBCA is working closely with the World Bank to steer ease of doing business in Pakistan, which has yielded some results.'

President KATI, Sheikh Umer Rehan said that every institution should play its role to facilitate industry. He urged to make the process of construction plan quick and regulations should be relaxed for industrial constructions.
