JUI-F plans protests against inflation tomorrow.

MANSEHRA -- Provincial senior naib emir of the Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl Hidayatullah Shah has said his party will stage street protests across the province against the shortage of wheat flour and inflation tomorrow (Friday).

'We will take to the streets in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, including every district of Hazara division, on Friday against the shortage of wheat flour and escalating prices,' Mr Shah told a news conference here on Wednesday.

The JUI-F leader said the people struggled to buy food and other essential goods due to the high inflation.

He said the government had miserably failed to control inflation leaving the people with no option but to commit suicide.

Mr Shah said 20kg bag of wheat flour was sold for Rs600 during the last PML-N-led government but the price had surged to Rs1,300 to the misery of common man.

'This government mortgaged the country to the International Monetary Fund for loans and levied more and more taxes on businesses and thus causing high inflation,' he said.

The JUI-F leader complained about the shortage of sugar in parts of Hazara division despite surge in its price.
