JUI-F mobilising masses for 'Azadi March'.

SAHIWAL -- The local chapter of the Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-F (JUI-F) has started a mass mobilisation drive for the upcoming Azadi March.

The drive is led by JUI-F district emir Ziaul Haq Chaudhry and tehsil emir Sohail Shaukat.

Mr Chaudhry told Dawn the JUI-F general council made five committees to contact the masses. These committees include a jalsa committee, political committee, traders committee, tawajo delao committee (advertisement committee) and tehreek committee. JUI-F activists have distributed pamphlets and handbills to citizens inviting them to the march.

He said the Islamabad police arrested two party workers late on Tuesday who were installing posters and banners at different locations of the city.

He said his party hosted a district level multi-party conference at a private place where he invited local PML-N, PPP, Tehreek-i-Islami, Jamiat Ulema Pakistan and other religious groups to the march. PML-N's Rao Nazir Farid said local wings of his...
