JSQM activists protest water crisis in Badin.

BADIN -- Activists of Jeay Sindh Qaumi Mahaz (JSQM) staged a demonstration and sit-in in protest against persistent water crisis in Badin district on Saturday.

The workers led by the party chairman Sanaan Quraishi marched on the city's roads before gathering outside Badin Press Club where they staged the protest for two hours.

Mr Quraishi said while addressing the protesters that Sindhs' rulers were responsible for the severe water crisis in the entire province in general and Badin district in particular.

He warned rulers to stop plundering resources of Sindh and alleged that on the one hand Punjab was stealing water of the province while on the other PPP rulers were diverting small farmers' water in connivance with officials of Sida and irrigation departments to irrigate their own...
