Japan stocks higher at close of trade; Nikkei 225 up 0.12pc.

Japan stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Steel, Chemical and Marine Transport sectors led shares higher. At the close in Tokyo, the Nikkei 225 gained 0.12 percent to hit a new 6-months high. The best performers of the session on the Nikkei 225 were Mitsui Engineering and Shipbuilding, which rose 4.05 percent or 21.00 points to trade at 539.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Advantest Corp. added 3.53 percent or 380.00 points to end at 11,140.00 and Panasonic Corp was up 2.42 percent or 31.50 points to 1,333.50 in late trade.
