Jang Group editor's judicial remand extended.

LAHORE -- An accountability court on Monday extended for two weeks judicial remand of Jang group editor-in-chief Mir Shakilur Rehman in a 34-year old case of 54-kanal land allegedly allotted to him by then Punjab chief minister Nawaz Sharif.

During the hearing, the counsel for Mr Shakil told the court that the jail officials did not produce the suspect since he had been hospitalised due to bad health.

At this, Judge Jawadul Hassan adjourned hearing till June 29 and directed a NAB prosecutor to submit a progress report about the reference.
