Jamaat to resume anti-govt drive on Dec 27.

PESHAWAR -- Jamaat-i-Islami has announced resuming its anti-government drive from Dec 27 after suspending it last month in the wake of spike in Covid-19 cases across the country.

Addressing a press conference here on Friday, JI provincial chief Senator Mushtaq Ahmad Khan said the party would begin the drive by organising a public meeting in Lakki Marwat on Dec 27.

He said the protest movement and other political activities were suspended to protect people from the deadly virus. He said the Lakki public meeting would be organised at the Qala ground in Serai Nourung, which would also be addressed by party chief Senator Sirajul Haq.
