Jalal says ECP has failed in first phase of LG polls.

HYDERABAD -- Sindh United Party chairman Syed Jalal Mehmood Shah has said the Election Commission of Pakistan has failed to conduct impartial and transparent polls in the first phase of local government election in Sindh.

He hoped the commission would improve its performance and correct the mistakes in the second phase of LG election because true democracy could never be established until transparent elections were ensured in the country.

Shah, who was also convener Sindh Action Committee, was speaking at a meeting of his party in Jamshoro on Tuesday.
