'It is the best time to pay back to my country' says Shahid Afridi.

Karachi -- Former flamboyant all-rounder Shahid Khan Afridi is making sure to serve his countrymen in the best possible way in this tough situation.

Afridi is currently running ration drive under the banner of his welfare Trust 'Shahid Afridi Foundation SAF'. He is currently on the tour of remote areas, those areas that are underdeveloped and need help when the whole country is locked down due to coronavirus.

'This country has given me everything, so it is my duty that I help the people in times of crisis. We are making sure to help as many people as we can to make sure that no one remains helpless,' Afridi told SportStar.

The legendary cricketer explained how difficult was it for them to immediately respond to emergency situation in the country. 'We had to start the campaign in an emergency and things had to be sorted out. We had to do it really fast because, in a country where there is unemployment, poverty, it is important to take quick action,' he recalled.

The 40-year-old cricketer-turned-philanthropist appealed to all the people to come out for the sake of humanity to help those in need. 'It's a humble request to all those who can contribute anything for the good cause. They all should come out and help people come out of this difficult situation,' he said.
