Islamabad police conduct successful crackdown against suspects, drug pushers.

ISLAMABAD -- The crackdown of Islamabad Police against suspects and criminal elements is underway and several outlaws were held during the last 24 hours along with recovery of narcotics and ammunition from them, a police spokesman said.

Following special directions of Inspector General of Police (IGP) Islamabad Mohammad Aamir Zulfiqar Khan, he said grand operation was launched 24 hour before in different areas of the city including suburbs areas.

He said that operation was supervised by Senior Superintendent of Police (Operations) Waqar Ud Din Syed in Doray, Athal and Koral villages. The operation was participated by SP (Industrial Area) Hassam Bin Iqbal including more than 200 officers, police commandos and CIA Police team headed by DSP CIA Hakim Khan.

He said that 28 suspects including drug peddlers were held and shifted to Tarnol police station. Three 12 bore rifles, two pistols, eight kilogram hashish and three bottles of liquor were also recovered from them.

Meanwhile, he said that SP (City) Syed Aziz supervised the operation in village Athal and nabbed three drug pushers identified as Iftikhar, Khalid and Sadiq besides recovery of 2600 gram hashish, pistol and ammunition from them.
