INVESTIGATIONS UNDERWAY AGAINST LOOT, PLUNDER SPREE OF Yousuf Baig Mirza.

ISLAMABAD -- Information secretary has furnished wrong information to NAB in ongoing investigation in corruption case against Yousuf Baig Mirza, special assistant to Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan on media affair in order to save him from purview of law.

NAB authorities had written a letter to information secretary seeking documents, evidence and assistance in alleged corruption of Rs 220 million by Yousuf Baig Mirza.

Mirza is saddled in Prime Minister (PM) secretariat and has become all in all of the institution by exercising powers as chairman of Pakistan Television (PTV).

NAB authorities have broadened the scope of investigations against Yousuf Baig Mirza besides directing information secretary to appoint a focal person to lend help to investigation officer with reference to information and documents.

NAB has launched investigation against Yousuf Baig Mirza into corruption of over Rs 220 million committed by him as MD PTV. He has remained MD PTV for five years during Musharraf tenure and for 3 years during PPP stint in power. He also used extravagantly contingency funds and he had reduced PTV to a penniless entity by grabbing his share from the income accrued on account of PTV ads. NAB has also summoned list of those who were behind his appointment.

PM Imran Khan has again appointed him in PM Secretariat and he has unleashed loot and plunder spree therein. He is also influencing NAB investigations.
