Interior ministry's threat alert aimed at sabotaging march, says JUI-F leader.

HYDERABAD -- Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) Sindh information secretary Maulana Taj Mohammad Nahiyoon on Friday shrugged off threat of terrorist attacks on the party's 'Azadi March' as cautioned by the federal interior ministry.

'Such advisory has been issued with intention to sabotage the march,' he told a press conference at the local press club.

He alleged that the federal government had asked transport operators not to run their services on these days. He sarcastically said that 'only donkey carts are allowed [to hit roads]'.

He said participants of the march would leave for Punjab from Sukkur on Oct 28. 'The march will certainly enter Islamabad,' he reaffirmed.

He also confirmed that JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman would lead the march starting from Karachi on Oct 27. It would reach Hatri Bypass [Hyderabad] at 2pm where participants from across Hyderabad and Mirpurkhas divisions would joint it, he...
