Interactive session at Arid varsity marks Farmers Day.

RAWALPINDI -- Pir Mehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University organized a Farmers' Day on Wednesday in collaboration with the National Rural Support Program (NRSP).

More than 150 farmers gathered for an active dialogue with the faculty and students and informed the audience about new research they have made in agriculture.

Arid varsity Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Qamar Zaman was the chief guest, while deans, directors, faculty members were also present. Presentations and information were delivered by the faculty of agriculture engineering, live stock, veterinary and food and nutrition departments.

Vice Chancellor Dr Qamar Zaman, in his address, said the Potohar belt had rich resources of cultivation of vegetables, fruits and cut flowers. He advised the farmers to adopt innovations into agriculture.
