Imran may announce midterm polls: Hashmi.

MULTAN -- Veteran politician Javed Hashmi says the circumstances are indicating that Prime Minister Imran Khan can announce midterm election.

'If the prevailing situation continues, there are chances that Imran Khan himself could announce midterm election,' he said while talking to the media on Saturday.

The senior politician said PM Khan should be allowed to make decisions on foreign, internal and economic policies.

He said Malaysia summit matter had proved that the foreign affairs were not being run by the government but someone else.

Hashmi said the country was facing unannounced martial law because of which hanging of retired Gen Pervez Musharraf was not possible. He said according to the Constitution, the general who imposed the martial law was liable to death penalty and he was a traitor.
