Imran Ismail dismisses possibility of Governor rule in Sindh.

Sindh governor expresses disappointment over recent surge in targeted killings in Karachi KARACHI: Amid the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf's (PTI) demands of Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah's resignation due to ongoing money laundering case, Sindh Governor Imran Ismail on Saturday dismissed the possibility of imposition of Governor rule. The governor, while speaking in a joint press conference with the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan leader Khawaja Izharul Hasan, said that the elected representatives will complete their respective tenures as per the constitutional requirements.

"Imposition of Governor rule in the province is not into my knowledge," he said. Expressing his disappointment over the recent surge in the targeted killings in Karachi, Ismail vowed that the government will take control of the situation.

"There have been few arrests linked to the targeted killings. These are unfortunate incidents but we will soon take control of the situation," the governor added.
