Illegal bus stands sealed in Bajaur.

BAJAUR -- The local authorities on Sunday sealed several illegal bus stands in Bajaur tribal district.

Talking to reporters, Nawagai subdivision assistant commissioner Habibullah Khan Wazir said the crackdown had been launched on the directives of the Malakand division commissioner and the Bajaur deputy commissioner to remove the unauthorised bus stands across the district.

Mr Wazir, who led the crackdown, said a number of illegal bus stands had been sealed. He said the action would continue till the last illegal bus stand was sealed.

Meanwhile, the owners of the bus stands complained the administration did not inform them before taking the action.

However, they admitted that most of the bus stations in the district were operating illegally.

They said they were ready to get all the formalities done if the administration allowed them.
