H.E. Dr. Hathal Homoud Alotaibi, President, International Islamic University (IIU) chaired the opening session of a workshop titled "improving teaching and learning at IIUI" organized here at the new campus by International Institute of Islamic Economics (IIIE).

Addressing the workshop, Worthy President emphasized upon adoption of the latest techniques and technology for teaching and learning. He also stressed for dedication from the side of faculty and administration to facilitate the students, adding that student centric approach is being adopted as students are the center of our efforts and intention.

IIUI President said that approval of the new strategic plan and its implementation shall be a start to the journey of change that is inevitable to make IIUI a profitable and most demanded educational institution. He has said that the university is striving to make an effective mechanism of teaching and learning as well as comprehensive work is going on to review curricula so that the university may shine among the leading universities of the world.

Calling upon faculty to focus on students' learning and facilitation, he said that no stone shall be left unturned to ensure exquisite teaching and learning experience. He said that promotion of the faculty members is also part of the priority list of the management and there shall soon be a transparent and fair policy introduced in this regard to encourage the skilled, well-versed faculty.

IIU President hoped that the Deans and HoDs of the faculties shall be very keen to facilitate students and it shall be ensured that students may acquire quality education in an ideal learning environment.
