ISLAMABAD -- The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Monday rejected a plea seeking to reopen private schools, holding that it was not the job of the courts to intervene in matters of the executive.

The pleas was heard by IHC Chief Justice Athar Minullah, The applicant's lawyer, in his arguments, said that people's jobs related to private schools were in jeopardy due to schools being closed.

About the government's decision to order the closure of schools, the applicant's lawyer argued that the policy was violating the basic rights of the public. The IHC Chief Justice remarked that the coronavirus is a challenge for the entire country.
