IHC directs government to legislate to determine minimum age for marriage of girl.

ISLAMABAD -- Islamabad High Court (IHC) has directed government to legislate for determining the minimum age of the girl for marriage.

The directives have been issued by a single bench of IHC presided over by Justice Amir Farooq here Wednesday.

The order said according to amicus curiae Barrister Zafar Ullah Khan the laws in terms of minimum age for Nikah are not clear.

The amicus curiae cited to Surah Al-Nisa .
