Hurtful treatment.

VISITING a government hospital in Lahore is always a terrible experience. Many people who visit

government hospitals belong to lower and middle classes, and cannot afford expensive private treatment. Their ego and self-respect are constantly crushed at every step by everyone. Doctors and nurses treat them rudely and either do not answer their questions or snub them in an insulting manner. On the other hand, the rich and those having reference are treated like VIPs.

The Children's Hospital and the Jinnah Hospital in Lahore are known for mistreating and insulting their patients, but no one takes notice of this absurd behaviour. It is a Herculean task to get respect and medical attention at the said hospitals.
