HRCP shocked over lockdown on 10m Kashmiris.

LAHORE -- Human Rights Commission of Pakistan (HRCP) Friday strongly condemned the failure of the Indian government to lift the lockdown on some 10 million Kashmiris, who continued to face gross human rights violations at the hands of the state.

"It has now been two months since the Indian government revoked the special status of Kashmir under Article 370 of the Indian constitution and placed the region under curfew. HRCP is alarmed by continued reports that thousands of Kashmiris, including minors are being arbitrarily detained, demonstrations are quelled by force, and people's access to food and medicines is being increasingly tightened," it said in a statement.
