Hearing in assets case against Khursheed Shah adjourned.

SUKKUR -- An accountability court in Sukkur on Monday adjourned the hearing in assets beyond means case involving Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Syed Khursheed Shah and his immediate family.

The hearing was adjourned until July 14 due to the non-appointment of a presiding officer of the accountability court.

The position has been lying vacant for the past one-and-a-half-month since the completion of the tenure of former accountability judge Ameer Ali Mahesar. Many important references filed by the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) are facing a delay owing to the non-availability of a judge.

The bureau had arrested Shah in September last year in a case regarding his alleged assets beyond means.
