Haider Ali finishes fifth as medal drought continues for Pakistan in CWG.

BIRMINGHAM -- Pakistani weightlifter Haider Ali secured the fifth position as he lifted an overall 305 kgs in the 81kg category in the weightlifting event of the Commonwealth Games, here on Monday.

Haider lagged in his second and third attempts as he finished the snatch round with his successful first-attempt lift of 135 kgs.

However, in the clean and jerk round, he successfully lifted the 170 kgs in the third attempt after carrying 161 kgs in the first attempt.
