Govt's plan of breaking opp alliance failed: Fazl.

Islamabad -- Maulana Fazl Rehman said that it was a good news for people of Pakistan that opposition parties were on the same page for the Senate elections and were contesting the elections from a same platform. Earlier, a delegation of the PPP led Bilawal Bhutto Zardari called on President Pakistan Democratic Movement, Maulana Fazlur Rehman at his residence in Islamabad. Former Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gillani and Farhatullah Babar accompanied the PPP Chairman.

Bilawal said the PPP delegation visited President PDM to discuss political issues. Syed Yousuf Raza Gillani is the PDM candidate from Islamabad and Farhatullah Babar is the PDM candidate for a technocrat seat from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Fazlur Rehman said that PDM had created disappointment and uncertainties among the quarters of the government; saying that the government's plan of breaking the alliance of PDM failed.
