Govt hospitals in Balochistan get additional funds.

QUETTA -- The provincial finance department has released additional funds for improving facilities in government-run hospitals of Balochistan.

Chief Minister Jam Kamal Khan Alyani had taken serious notice of lack of medical facilities and pathetic cleaning condition in the Civil Hospital, Quetta, during his visit to inquire after the health of Balochistan Assembly Speaker Mir Abdul Qudoos Bizenjo.

Mr Bizenjo preferred the civil hospital to a big private hospital for his treatment after he fell ill last week. He released a video message about the pathetic conditions he saw at the hospital.

The services and general administration department issued notices to former health secretary Abdul Majid and Medical Superintendent of Civil Hospital Dr Fazlur Rehman Bugti to explain their position over negligence in the health sector. They were asked to submit a reply or...
