Govt afraid of PDM campaign, claims Iftikhar.

NOWSHERA -- Awami National Party central general secretary Mian Iftikhar Hussain has said that the 'selected' government is in hurry to hold Senate elections before schedule because of the fear that it could be ousted anytime.

Talking to mediapersons here, Mr Hussain, who is also the spokesperson for Pakistan Democratic Movement, said that the government was afraid of the ongoing PDM campaign and that's why it was pressing for holding the Senate election in February instead of March.

He said that the PDM's struggle was not for the Senate elections, but for the supremacy of the Constitution and transparent elections in the country.
