Prime Minister Imran Khan directed relevant authorities to introduce the mobile application called "Mera Bacha Alert" in 2-week to effectively tackle the cases of childrens' abduction, sexual abuse, and murders. PM Imran discussed about the app, which - in case of registration of a missing child - would speedily make their details available to the provincial inspectors-general of police (IGPs) and other senior police officers. It is also said that the "Mera Bacha Alert" app would be connected with the Pakistan Citizen Portal app in order to monitor the progress on any case, including the recovery of child, the PM Office said.

Earthquake

Over the last 100 years Pakistan has experienced several damaging earthquakes and the earthquake that struck September 24 left widespread destruction in Mirpur city of Kashmir. Statistics showed that Mirpur district suffered the most damage from the 5.6 magnitude earthquake that rocked parts of Punjab also some of the country's northern regions. About 40 people died, 38 of whom belonged to the Mirpur district. At the time of incidence, Prime Minister Imran Khan was in New York to attend the 74th annual session of the United Nations General Assembly. Prime Minister also expressed solidarity with the victims of a recent earthquake that wreaked havoc in the region. "I wanted to visit immediately but my return from the United States was delayed, premier said. After returning from the annual session he immediately visited earthquake-hit regions of Kashmir and reviewed the ongoing relief activities. The premier assured the government's full support for quake-hit areas.

He further said the government of Pakistan is working on a package for the rehabilitation of victims. He also visited the divisional headquarters hospital to inquire after the health of some of the survivors being treated there.
