'Good governance key to overcome corruption'.

LAHORE -- Governor Chaudhry Sarwar says good governance is indispensable to tackle corruption and the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf government believes in purging the institutions of political pressure. He says institutions are being strengthened as it will stabilize the country and nation.

Speaking to senior civil servants, who completed their National Management Course at National School of Public Policy on Thursday, the governor stressed that civil servants should be people-friendly and sympathetic.

'Your liaison with people should be based on good moral behavior and all have to keep Pakistan's interest at first. We all have to make Pakistan as Great Pakistan of Jinnah,' he said.

The governor said the government, the armed forces, other law-enforcement agencies and 220 million people of Pakistan had jointly eliminated the menace of terrorism from the country and peace had now been restored in Pakistan.
