Girl commits 'suicide' in Shangla area.
SHANGLA -- A young girl allegedly committed suicide at Barpaw village of Chakesar area here late on Saturday night by consuming poisonous substance.
Chakesar police station SHO Habib Shah told mediapersons on Sunday that the 18-year-old girl was brought to the rural health centre, Chakesar, where doctors washed her stomach, but she did not survive.
The body was later handed over to the relatives. The local police lodged an FIR under section 325 of CrPC and have started investigations.
The SHO said that the girl was married about a year ago and according to her parents her in-laws would often taunt and insulted her in their home.
