THE people of Gilgit-Baltistan have always chosen to remain on the right side of the federal government. They always vote for the party that has the majority votes in the centre. There is wisdom in their logic. It is in this manner that the people of GB obtain their share in the government budgets set aside for development funds without any hindrance.

However, there is a downside to this as these perks and privileges are meant for the elite class of GB. The common man has no say in the administrative system of the region.
