GAS SUPPLY DEMANDED.

The residents of Oghi tehsil on Monday demanded of the Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited, communication and works department and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Highway Authority to ensure the amicable resolution of their issues and early laying of gas lines in the tehsil.

The demand was made during a meeting attended by office-bearers of political and religious parties in Oghi.

Prayer leader of a local mosque Maulana Hafiz Usmani told reporters afterwards that the C and W department and KPHA should withdraw court cases against the SNGPL contractor to allow him to lay gas lines to Agror and Tanawal areas.

He said litigation had hampered the gas project.

Mr Usmani wondered how the contractor could pay a hefty amount of over Rs80 million to the C and W department...
