Gas sale meter stations planned.

KARAK -- The government has decided to establish two gas sale meter stations in Karak and Banda Daud Shah tehsils.

The decision comes during talks between the government's representatives and Loya Jirga, a forum of opposition lawmakers from Kohat division.

Chairman of the Loya Jirga and MPA Mian Nisar Gul told reporters here on Friday that the forum members including Malik Zafar Azam, retired Major Shah Dad Khan and others discussed their 14-point charter of demands with the government team consisting of finance minister Taimur Saleem Jhagra, education minister Akbar Ayub, law minister Sultan Khan and home secretary Akbar Khan.

He said the companies would compensate landowners on rent basis, while complete amount of the outstanding royalty would be released by the government to Kohat division.
