From The Past Pages Of Dawn: 1947: Seventy-five years ago: 'Hostile policy'.

A STERN warning to a section of the Press was given by Premier Khuhro at his Tuesday's [Nov 11] Press conference. After making a pointed reference to this section of newspapers he said that their policy was 'openly hostile' to the State. He considered their news items, editorials, headlines and display 'very objectionable'. 'I cannot tolerate this anymore,' he added.

The Premier went on to say that the Government would have taken strong action against these newspapers long ago, but he decided to leave the matter to the Press Advisory Committee which has been recently constituted. The Committee will hold its first meeting on Wednesday and it was open to it to take suitable action.
