French archaeologists resume work at Chanhu Jo Daro.

DADU -- Following the Covid lockdown restrictions, the French archeologist mission resumed excavation and exploration work at Chanhu Jo Daro, contemporaneous with Mohenjo Daro, in Shaheed Benazirabad district, on Wednesday.

Chanhu Jo Daro is located along the Nawabshah-Sakrand road, 19 km from Nawabshah city, close to the village of Jam Keerio.

The work was stopped two years ago in view of the lockdown imposed to contain Covid-19.

Talking about the joint exploration and excavation of French archeologists and Sindh government at Chanhu Jo Daro, Sindh Minister for Tourism and Culture Syed Sardar Ali Shah told Dawn that a massive work was launched there first time in the history after 1930-31. It (the work resumed) was continuity of the excavation and exploration of 2016, but this year the team had major and more researchers and archeologists who were engaged in the excavation and exploration.
