MOST Pakistanis under 35 are opting for freelance work according to Payoneer's report. Although this is encouraging news, it is sad that there is no institute in Pakistan where young people can learn about freelancing.

There are some free courses available on YouTube but beginners need to be in contact with people in their own community to learn from the experiences of their seniors.

The federal and provincial governments should take measures to ensure that freelancing is taught in colleges if not at the school level so that students can earn an income and be less dependent on parents in these hard times.

In fact the productive ones can even contribute to the family income.
